The Retriever Challenge

Looking to spend a weekend away in the quiet woods of northern Michigan training your dog with your local hunt club, look no further! The Retriever Challenge, based in Harrisville, Michigan, is run on 150 acres of wooded land with multiple bodies of water. There are ~40 blinds to challenge you and your dog on varies concepts: over points, past points, shore-line blinds, channel blinds, and angle entry blinds. Over the course of the two days, you will run 20-25 challenging land and water blinds testing your dog on advanced concepts and because of this for dogs to be able to run the challenge they must be running at a finished or master level. The Retriever Challenge is for the handler as much as it is for the dog. Over the course of two days, as a handler you will learn how to read your dog, anticipate changes in direction, and practice a quicker sit whistle.

Upcoming Events
